Piano Life Saver
While the term "Life Saver" may sound like a bold promise, protecting your instrument from dryness and humidity is both beneficial and sometimes essential. The Piano Life Saver, also known as the Damp Chaser, helps maintain both your piano and its tuning for a longer time. The system optimizes the moisture levels within your instrument by activating a dehumidifier when humidity is too high, and adding moisture from a water tank during dry conditions. Investing in a Piano Life Saver ensures your instrument stays in top condition.
Climate Fluctuations
Wood and felt are sensitive to humidity levels. If your instrument becomes too dry, the wooden soundboard can crack. Conversely, excessive moisture can lead to mold growth, cause hammers to stick, and result in rusted strings. The Piano Life Saver protects your instrument from these issues and helps maintain tuning stability.
Installation and Maintenance
We will install the Piano Life Saver system in your piano or grand piano at your home. Once installed, maintenance is simple. You can easily monitor the system's power and water levels using indicator lights. Refilling the water tank is straightforward with a small pitcher and a hose leading to the tank. Just add a capful of Dampp-Chaser Pad Treatment to prevent algae and mineral growth in the water.
The system includes pads that facilitate water evaporation, which need to be replaced once a year.
For optimal protection, keep the Piano Life Saver continuously running and refill the tank as needed. This way, you can enjoy a beautifully tuned instrument for longer.
